TCAA 2019 Fall Conference in San Antonio

The Texas City Attorneys Association (TCAA) Fall Conference will be held in conjunction with the TML Annual Conference and Exhibition on October 10 at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio.

Topics include:

  • Dealing with difficult employees
  • Contracts immunity
  • Limits on city regulatory authority
  • Game room regulation
  • Drug testing
  • Recent federal cases
  • Right-of-way acquisition and land development programs
  • And more!

Attorneys can earn up to 5 MCLE hours, including 1 ethics hour.

TCAA to Fill Board Position on October 10, 2019

Those interested in applying for a place on the board of the Texas City Attorneys Association should fill out an application and return it via email to Christy Drake-Adams at christy@tml.org. Application forms are available here and under the “About TCAA” tab, “Board of Directors” section, on the TCAA website at https://texascityattorneys.org. Applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on August 30, 2019.

Riley Fletcher Basic Municipal Law Seminar

TCAA is proud to present the February 2018 Riley Fletcher Basic Municipal Law Seminar as an online course! The seminar is designed for attorneys who are new to municipal law or for those who want to brush up on the basics. For more information, or to purchase the course, go to https://tcaarileyfletcherseminar.org/registration/. For $149, you can access this seminar online at a time and place that works best for you. Up to eight hours of CLE credit hours (including 0.75 ethics hour) are available for this course.

2018 TCAA Fall Conference and 2019 TCAA Summer Conference

These TCAA online seminars are FREE, allowing TCAA members who are city attorneys, assistant city attorneys, or attorneys who regularly practice municipal law to view each video from these conferences in a singlesession format. Viewing a session allows attorneys to receive participatory CLE credit with the State Bar. To view available seminars, please visit www.tcaaonlineseminars.org.
