TCAA 2014 Summer Conference in South Padre Island – DATE CHANGE

The TCAA 2014 Summer Conference at the Isla Grand Resort in South Padre Island was originally scheduled for June 4-6, 2014.  THAT DATE HAS CHANGED.  The conference will now be held on June 18-20, 2014. Registration will be available in early 2014. We apologize for any inconvenience.

TCAA Fall Meeting on Disaster Preparedness!


Save the Date! The TCAA Fall Meeting, in conjunction with the TML Annual Conference and Exhibition, is scheduled for October 10, 2013, in Austin. This year’s meeting will focus on emergency and disaster preparation.  Details are available by clicking on the banner on  The agenda is listed under the “Affiliate Programs” tab on the TML Annual Conference website, and attorneys who wish to attend only the TCAA sessions should choose “One-Day Registration.”  Don’t miss it!

FREE CLE! The 2013 TCAA Summer Conference is Available Online

The TCAA Online Seminars are FREE, allowing TCAA members who are city attorneys, assistant city attorneys, or attorneys who regularly practice municipal law to view videos of past seminars in a singlesession format. Viewing of the session allows attorneys to receive participatory CLE credit with the State Bar. TCAA President Appoints Nominating Committee to Fill Board Position on October 10, 2013

TCAA President Frank Garza has, pursuant to the TCAA Constitution, appointed three members to the nominating committee as follows:  (1)  Diane Wetherbee, City Attorney, Plano; (2) Tyrone Cooper, City Attorney, Beaumont; and (3) Charles Zech, Denton, Navarro, Rocha and Bernal, San Antonio.   The committee will make its recommendation on October 10, 2013, at the membership meeting in Austin.
